The Malaysia National Poison Centre (NPC) is a consultation centre for drug & poison information and poisoning management. It was established in 1994 and is based in Universiti Sains Malaysia. The NPC earned an additional role as the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Drug Information (Western-Pacific Region) in 1998 for its services and contribution in the arena of health.

In 1996, The National Poison Centre was honoured in The Malaysia Book of Records as Malaysia's Premiere Poison Centre.
Poisoning occurs when a poison is accidentally or intentionally ingested, inhaled, injected or come into contact with the skin or eyes.
Oxygen absorbers are used to aid food storage e.g. nuts and vitamins. Ingestion of oxygen absorbers may cause poisoning as the contain iron. Oxygen absorber is different from silica gel.
